During the past several years our nation has faced a severe recession with rising unemployment. Leslie and Harminder designed a PowerPoint presentation documenting the foreclosure of farms during the Great Depression of the 1930‘s and the home foreclosure crisis of the recent Great Recession. Similarly, Long and Sandra looked at the devastating impact of the two economic downturns on employment and jobs. Mrs. Forrest provided an iMovie model for our project by creating a video “The Ghost of Tom Joad.” Using the Bruce Springsteen song as the sound track, her video uses photos of the downtrodden from the Great Depression and today.
